About
In 2019, we crossed paths on the dance floor in Munich and instantly knew that something special was in the air. As we began training and dancing together, our bond grew stronger, and before long, the dynamic duo of Luigi and Steffi was born.
Over the years, we have accomplished many exciting things, including teaching together since 2021, creating our own show in 2022, and teaching at national and international festivals from 2022 onwards. We have also been dedicated to growing our social media channels and traveling almost every weekend to share our passion for dance with others.
In 2023, not only private achievements (a marriage and two cute cats) took place, but also further achievements as dancers completed our journey: we were honored to judge at various “Jack and Jill” competitions around Europe, implemented a new concept of “dance coaching” and showed our teaching skills in an intensive Bootcamp with show at a huge festival.
Luigi
Luigi, born in Naples, Italy, in 1988, started his dance journey in 2010 at the Latin Dance Studio of Antonio Altruda, the Italian champion. Over two years, he studied rumba guaguancó and columbia under the guidance of Alberto Valdes and Tomasito Santamaria.
.
In 2013, Luigi co-founded La Suerte Academy with Italian champion Luisa Capasso, where he began his career as a teacher and choreographer. He performed at the Salsilando Salsa Congress and Happy Latin Congress (2014-2015) and, in 2015, began studying Salsa On2 (mambo moderno) with Adolfo Indacochea and afro-contemporary with Yuniel Gual.
.
In 2016, Luigi expanded into Bachata Sensual with Antonio De Franchis and Eliana Sorgente. He further honed his Bachata skills at festivals, studying with artists such as Daniel and Desiree, Antonio y Estefania, Ataca y La Alemana, and Frank Santos.
.
In 2017-2018, he moved to Tenerife, Spain, where he taught at Latin Salsa and Dance’n Roses. During these two years, he also led Salsa and Bachata workshops around the island. In 2018, Luigi joined the Bachata team of Cesar y Bibi, performing at the Bachata en Cadiz festival.
After moving to London in late 2018, he continued studying Salsa On2 with Super Mario. Luigi then settled in Augsburg, Germany, in late 2019, before relocating to Munich in 2021.
Steffi
Steffi, born in Ingolstadt, Germany in 1991, is a passionate dancer who started her dance journey with Ballroom dancing at Tanzschule Fischer in 2007. Over the years, she graduated from several dance exams and excelled in her craft.
In 2017, Steffi moved to Munich and discovered her love for Salsa and Bachata at Salsabor Dance Academy. She quickly specialized in Bachata, focusing on partnerwork and Ladystyling. Steffi attended festivals all over Europe from 2017 to 2020, learning from renowned teachers such as Sara Panero, Samy y Carolina, Melvin and Gatica, among others.
In 2019, Steffi began teaching Bachata partnerwork, followed by Bachata Ladystyling in 2020, at Salsa OnStage. She also became part of the OnStage Ladies Team and OnStage Ladies Pro Team in 2018, and with her team, she won multiple awards, including 2nd place at MSC Cup 2018, 1st place at German Ladystyling Championship 2018 and 2nd place at MSC Cup 2019.
In 2020, Steffi embarked on her first Bachata Ladies Choreo Project, which was a huge success. Encouraged by this success, she started the second edition in 2022 and also the third edition in 2023, inspiring over 30 women to dance and perform on national and international stages in front of thousands of people. Late 2023, she encouraged a student to perform her solo show and showed through the new concept of "dance coaching", how one can inspire and empower others.
